Membership
Membership is open to everyone who shares our aim to make our City attractive for residents and visitors. Whether you would like to be an active member or simply remain in the background, we value your support. Membership entitles you to join a range of events (talks, awards, quiz nights and debates), receive regular email updates, and – above all – have the chance to be involved in how our city evolves and its green spaces prosper.
Renewing your membership

Subscription Rates
Subscriptions are due upon joining and then annually on the same date each year. Rates are as follows:
- Individual: £20
- Household (two or more living at the same address): £30
- Individual under the age of 25: Free of charge

If you request to join as an individual under 25 years old please also advise your date of birth
If you pay income tax please include the following declaration in your email:
GIFT AID DECLARATION. I (name of taxpayer __________________________) pay income tax at not less than the basic rate. From the date of this declaration, I want any payments I may make to St Albans Civic Society (charity number 200330) to be treated as Gift Aid donations.

Alternatively when we received your email request to join we will reply by sending you a link that will enable you to set up a Direct Debit in favour of the Civic Society to pay your subscription. If you are unwilling to pay your subscription by Direct Debit please let us know in your email and we will send details of alternative methods of payment.
